Greg grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1967. Following high school, he studied mechanics at Pittsburg State University and Ft. Scott Community College. Greg farmed and raised cattle, operated a trucking business many years, and also operated a mulch business, “Mulchit” for a number of years. He enjoyed hotrod cars, and car shows – he was proud of his 1934 Ford, and his 2003 Chevrolet SSR.
In addition to his wife Candi, he is survived by his children, Amy Clausen and her husband Derrick, Independence, MO, Amber Jenkins (Jeff Pearish), Nevada, and Aaron Dahmer, Nevada; six grandchildren, Kendra Meyers, Jaycee Jenkins, Callee Jenkins, Wyatt Jenkins, Allie Dahmer, and Addison Dahmer; great-grandchildren, Axel Jenkins, Nash Palmer; mother, Mary Dahmer, Nevada; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn “Plute” Dahmer; brother, Brent Dahmer; and one son-in-law, Mike Jenkins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home.
