Michael Thomas Young was born November 24, 1970 in Kansas City, Missouri to Thomas Gary Young and Ellen MiGinnis Holmes. He graduated from Ray-Pec High School in 1989 and was united in marriage to Christy Hayes on June 1, 1991. Together they raised three sons, Trevor, Preston, and Codie. Mike was baptized as one of Jehovahs Witnesses on February 21, 1987. He enjoyed volunteering in the full time ministry, construction, disaster relief, and serving as an Elder in the congregation.
Mike cherished the privilege of teaching others about Jehovah and the promise the Bible holds out for us. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hiking, playing and watching sports with his boys. Mike loved to make people laugh. He was kind and loving. He will be truly missed by all until we see him again. Revelation 21:4.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Thomas Gary Young and his brother Mark Young. He is survived by his wife Christy Young, mother Ellen Holmes (Rick), his children, Trevor Young (Brittany), Preston Young, Codie Young, siblings, Karie Rogers, Jamie Garrison (Doug), Matt Young (Staci), and his brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.
