The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2011 Chevrolet driven by 60 year old Richard N. Lane of Deepwater, Missouri became disabled in the roadway after striking a animal, the 2010 Lincoln driven by 55 year old Elizabeth L. Cullison of Butler, Missouri attempted to avoid but struck the rear of Mr. Lane's vehicle. The Cullison vehicle was then struck by a 2017 Ford driven by 66 year old James L. Hisky of Lees Summit, Missouri.
Elizabeth L. Cullison along with a passenger in her vehicle 70 year old Karen R. Edgemon of Butler, Missouri both sustained minor injuries in this accident and both were transported by ambulance to Cass County Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, Missouri for treatment.
All three vehicles sustained extensive damages and were towed from the scene of the accident by Miller Tow and J's Southland Tow.
