Obituary - Billie Ray Peek

Billie Ray Peek, 73, Peculiar, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO with burial in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, December 16 at the Atkinson Funeral Home. Masonic services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday.

Billie was born April 18, 1946 in Grandview, MO, a son of Albert Levi and Naomi Mae (Winchell) Peek and was a lifelong resident of Peculiar, MO. He was a 1966 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School. He worked for Associated Wholesale Grocers as a truck driver and was a retired member of the Teamsters Union. Billie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Peculiar and the Grand River Masonic Lodge No. 276, Freeman, MO.

Billie was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Kelly Peek, two brothers, Lee and Otie Peek, and a sister, Betty Hannah. He is survived by two daughters, Shelly Link (Patrick), Peculiar, and Tammy Umphreys, Grain Valley, MO; three brothers, Richard Peek, Peculiar, Sam Peek (Connie), Adrian, MO, and Everett Peek (Sharon), Hookstown, PA; and three sisters, Virginia Bailey, Cleveland, MO, Dorothy Burch, Peculiar, and Katherine Saville, Garden City, MO; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
