Carl Holmes, Jr. 57 of Butler, Missouri passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery near Ballard, Missouri. No Visitation will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Carl Dee Holmes, Jr. was born October 1, 1962 in Butler, Missouri to Carl Holmes, Sr. and Elijah “Jane” McQuinn.
Carl grew up in Butler and worked in various places in the area. He worked for O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, Honeywell, Cling Monument Company, and American Fence.
Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering on cars, and his cats. But most of all he was dedicated to caring for his mother.
Carl was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon and Lavern Holmes, and Helen Goodbar, along with his father Carl Holmes, Sr. He is survived by his mother Jane Sites of Butler, MO., sister Carla Bledsoe of Fort Scott, KS., cousin Mike McQuinn and wife Lisa of Butler, MO., along with many other extended family members.
