Elizabeth "Libby" Ann Noland was born January 25, 1950 to Carl and Eva (Davis) Bumpers in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Her family moved to Olathe, Kansas where she attended grade school. Her family moved to Missouri her freshman year of high school so Libby could meet Ray Noland, her future husband. After a year in Missouri, her family returned to Olathe, Kansas, with Ray making frequent trips to Kansas to 'court' Libby. Libby graduated from Olathe High School. In 1969 she married her true love Ray Noland. Following Ray in his professional career, Libby attended many colleges throughout the United States. During her adult life she lived in Harrisonville, Missouri, East Lynne, Missouri, Topeka, Kansas, Olathe, Kansas, Waukesha, Wisconsin, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Kalamazoo, Michigan, St. Louis, Missouri, and finally settling in Clinton, Missouri. Clinton was the town that Libby lived the longest in her life and she loved her little town.
Libby was always very active in her communities. She often called herself a professional volunteer looking for opportunities to minister. Throughout their journey, Libby was always part of the music ministry in their church. At First Baptist Church in Clinton, she was active in the choir, musical presentations/pageants, Spirit Lifters Choir, and hand bell choir. She also loved her mission groups, GA's, WMU, ACT's 1:8, and Celebrate Recovery Kids.
In her other spare time, she and Ray would take drives through the country, go out fishing and out to eat at one of her many favorite restaurants in the Clinton area. She loved being a grandma and spending time with her four grandchildren as often as possible. She enjoyed golfing anytime it was above 50. She was an avid quilter, crocheter, and gardener. She was active in the Garden Club, Quilters Guild and the Heartland Theatre.
Libby was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Eva Bumpers and her grandmother Maude Burkett.
She is survived by her husband Ray; her daughter Heather (Paul) Kutz and their sons, Caleb Kutz and Adam Kutz; her son Matthew (Sandy) Noland and their children, Alexander Noland and Eva Grace Noland; her brother Larry Bryant and his children Terry Hollingshead and family, Melissa Bryant and family, and Monty Bryant and family; and her sister Mona (Bob) Huggins and their children Ashley Bowlin and family and Elizabeth Sutherland and family.
Libby will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but is enjoying a celebration with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, during this Christmas season.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri.
