The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2007 Ford Escape driven by 18 year old Jayden L. Lasley of Raymore, Missouri fell asleep and the vehicle traveled off the south side of the roadway, striking a power pole and causing the vehicle to catch on fire.
Mr. Lasley sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by Pleasant Hill EMS to Belton Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene of this accident by Stevers Tow.
