Around 3:30 this morning a tractor trailer jackknifed in the southbound lanes of I-49 at the Adrian exit. The driver Michael Benge, 38, of Petal Mississippi sustained minor injuries. Due to icy conditions, it was several hours before the scene was cleared.
Numerous other accidents have been reported this morning as well, including a box truck pulling another vehicle that left the roadway and overturned at the Butler exit. The driver, from Minnesota, received minor injuries.
