Obituary - Virginia Elizabeth (Saathoff) Fletchall

Virginia Elizabeth Fletchall, 95, Nevada, MO passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada following a sudden illness. Virginia was born June 25, 1924 in Ketterman, MO (rural Vernon County) to Richard E. and Susie (Shuhart) Saathoff. Virginia graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1943. The following year she was united in marriage to Page Fletchall on May 6, 1944 in Norman, OK and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2013.

Throughout her life, Virginia was involved in many things. She was a seamstress at Key Work Clothes in Nevada, a cook at Nevada R-5 Schools, was a 4-H Leader, a Girl Scout Leader, and was a devoted wife and mother. She loved living the rural country lifestyle, whether it was helping with the cattle, tending to her large garden and yard, cooking, or sewing. Virginia loved to fish and going camping in the RV at Stockton Lake. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Nevada. Virginia also loved being involved with her family and was a devoted grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Survivors include two children, a son, “Ed” Roy Edwin Fletchall and (Connie), Nevada, and a daughter, Judy Elizabeth Gast (Howard), Nevada; grandchildren, Monica Fletchall, Springfield, MO, Jennifer Willits (Titus), Wichita, KS, Matthew Fletchall (Katie), Nevada, Becky Hoselton (Tony), Nevada, Bryan Gast (Heather), Nevada; great-grandchildren, Hadley Fletchall, Haizleigh Fletchall, Ty Willits, Paige Willits, Blake Hoselton, McKayla Hoselton, Alex Gast, Brayden Gast; one sister, Betty Lou Emery (Leon), Deerfield, MO; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends. In addition to her husband Page, she was preceded in death by her parents; a great-grandson, Brett Lynn Hoselton; a sister, Pauline Hogsett; two brothers, Roy Saathoff, and Richard Saathoff.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Bill Cox and Pastor Hubert Fox officiating. A private burial will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
