There are some visual cues that wind farms may be coming to Bates county and plenty of ‘shooting the breeze’ discussion to go along with it. However, nothing is firm just yet. What we know: testing is being done in several areas around the county. Temporary towers with wind measuring equipment are in place to determine the viability of wind power generation.We've attempted to contact the companies doing the testing, they will probably remain tight lipped until testing is complete, which could be as soon as this summer.
