Mr. Cahill has spent the last two years in the Holden School District where he has served as Assistant Activities Director, teacher and Head Coach. Prior to that, Cahill was a Social Studies teacher and coach in the Belton School District where he was a Teacher of the Year Finalist for the district.
Mr. Cahill will soon be Dr. Cahill as he is currently finishing his Doctorate of Educational Leadership from William Woods University. Cahill has a Master's in Administration as well as a Master’s in Counseling Psychology: Positive Coaching from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Cahill graduated from Lee’s Summit North High School where he was the editor of the school newspaper, took International Baccalaureate classes as well as being a part of the varsity football and wrestling teams. After high school, Mr. Cahill served as a paraprofessional in the Oak Grove School District prior to becoming a classroom teacher in Belton.
Throughout the interview process it was evident that his strength is in building positive relationships with all stakeholders. Mr. Cahill will utilize this as he handles many responsibilities for the Clinton School District as High School Assistant Principal. Cahill has experiences in handling discipline, utilizing restorative practices and working with students from all backgrounds. Mr. Cahill will also oversee the A+ program, Cardinal Time advisory period and safety/security at CHS.

He will bring a lot of positive energy along with high expectations for students and staff. He is an up and coming leader in the field of education and we are glad to have him on our team!”
Mr. Cahill said, “I am incredibly excited for the opportunity that the Clinton School District has given me. I look forward to meeting the students and staff as soon as possible! I am excited to get to work and to start building relationships with the students, teachers, staff, and community members. My hope is to continue to assist in building on the strong tradition that Clinton High School already has!”
Kyle and his wife Amanda, who is also an educator, will welcome their first child in less than a month. Education is a family business for Cahill as he is a fourth generation educator and will bring many great ideas to the school district. Please welcome Mr. Kyle Cahill!
