Larry was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 3, 1947 to Herman Roper and Jennie (Melton) Roper. After schooling, Larry entered the work force and for most of his life worked as a truck driver, most recently for Call Valley. In the spring of 1979 Larry was joined in marriage with his late wife, Anita on April 23rd in Miami, Oklahoma. In life, Larry was very good at and enjoyed woodworking.
Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Anita Roper; parents, Herman and Jennie Roper; and brother, Richard Roper.
He is survived by two brothers, Charles Roper (Louella) and Ronnie Roper (Marta); sister in law, Barbara Hall; nephew, Todd Hall (Leanne); and niece, Karrie Stills.
