Pedestrian killed in Bourbon County Kansas

On 2/26/20 around 4:43am the Kansas State Highway Patrol responded to a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle on Northbound US 69 Highway at Arrowhead Road ( Mile marker 54.9) in rural Bourbon County Kansas.

The Kansas State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2005 Dodge Durango driven by 26 year old Stephanie L. Klepac of Girard, Kansas slide into the grassy median due to icy conditions, the vehicle went airborne and struck the pedestrian which was outside of his vehicle.

The pedestrian who was identified as 48 year old John R. Morris of Liberal, Missouri was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and he was taken to Frontier Forensics.

The driver of the Durango wasn't injured in this accident.
