Stolen Vehicle Recovered In Barton County

On 02-10-2020 a vehicle pursuit that started around Pittsburg, Kansas entered into Barton County on 126 hwy. The pursuit eventually made it to 43 hwy and went north to K Hwy. The fleeing vehicle turned back westbound on K Hwy and fled toward the town of Liberal. 

The pursuit continued past Liberal and headed in a Northwest direction. It was reported that when the vehicle got around the area of Arcadia Kansas Law Enforcement lost sight of the vehicle. Law Enforcement continued to search for the vehicle, but was unable to find it.

On 2-11-2020 the Barton County Sheriff’s office received a call of an abandoned vehicle in the area of State line and 126 hwy. A Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper was close to the area and located the vehicle. 

The vehicle is believed to be the same vehicle involved in the chase from the day before. The vehicle was recovered and turned over to Kansas Law Enforcement.
