For Immediate Release COMMUNITY UPDATE FROM SONIC DRIVE-IN OF BUTLER BUTLER -- SONIC Drive-In of Butler along with the Umstattd family would like to address the recently confirmed case of COVID-19 in Bates County and make you aware of the steps we are taking. The health and safety of our employees and our community at large is our top priority and we take that responsibility very seriously.
Effective immediately, SONIC Drive-In of Butler is shutting down operations until further notice. On March 21 we were notified by the Bates County Health Center of an employee having contact with an individual who tested positive, therefore being at risk of potential exposure. They were immediately checked out by the local health department and placed in isolation to self quarantine, in accordance with BCHC’s recommendation.
We want to ensure you no employee has tested positive, nor is showing symptoms of having COVID-19. With that being said, out of an abundance of caution we are taking all necessary precautions. We appreciate all the tireless work our local health officials are doing in keeping our community safe.
