Unfortunately, there are multiple phone scams going around Cass County and the state regarding COVID-19.Some scammers are posing as the Cass County Health Department to tell people they've been exposed to a person with the virus and asking them to get tested or give credit card information over the phone to purchase a home test.
Home tests for COVID-19 do not exist and you should NEVER give your credit card information out over the phone.
Exercise caution with any call you get. If you are ever unsure if a call is from a legitimate source, you are urged to hang up, look up the actual phone number listed (online, phone book) and call that number.
