Obituary - Nicole Danielle Kilgore

Nicole Danielle Kilgore, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born December 9, 1980 in Hammond, Louisiana the daughter of Donald Lee and Teresa Fay (Diddon) Kilgore. She departed this life on Friday, March 27, 2020 at the St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 39 years, 3 months and 18 days.

In her 39 years Nicole created much beauty, intrinsically woven soul ties with whom all she shared her heart with, and memories her loved ones and friends can and will carry with them forever.

She had many loves, littles, friends and connections throughout all the communities she experienced and grew her life in. Nicole’s smile was magnetic and matched all of the love and light that shined through her beautiful blue eyes.

She was a woman of hope and faith; Secure in the knowledge that her soul would only rise higher. Nicole was a creator of resilience and always told herself and those she loved “When life gets you down do you wanna know what you’ve gotta do? Just keep on swimming.”

Nicole taught, created, fought, shared, accepted, enjoyed and most importantly loved while she lived.

In 2005, Nicole was united in marriage to William Umphrey III in Ft. Collins, Colorado.

Nicole was employed as a dispatcher for OATS Company in Harrisonville, Missouri. She loved music, her nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters and considered everyone family and was always taking people in. Nicole’s greatest enjoyment was being a mother to her “littles”.

She was preceded in death by her father, Don Kilgore; her husband, Willaim Umphrey III and an aunt, Debbie Kilgore.

Nicole is survived by a son, Kadden Kilgore and a daughter, Vivian Kilgore of the home; her mother and step-father, Teresa Kilgore and Gary Smith, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; two brothers, Colby Kilgore, Lee’s Summti, Missouri, Greg Smith, Harrisonville, Missouri; 4 sisters, Candice Holman, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Tiffany Smith, Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Jassmine Kilgore and Emily Kilgore both of Harrisonville, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
