The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2006 Honda Rincon driven by 57 year old Charles L. Avis of Clinton, Missouri was eastbound on CR SE 500 when he was attempting to make a right hand turn, driver over-corrected causing the ATV to overturn, ejecting and landing on the driver.
Mr. Avis sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by Life Flight Eagle to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
The ATV received minor damages and it was removed from the scene by a third party.
