Adam Eugene Lesmeister lost his four-year battle with cancer surrounded by his loved ones April 12, 2020 in Appleton City, Missouri. He was born June 9, 1982 in Carthage, Missouri and moved to Appleton City at the age of two. He lived here most of his life, graduating from Appleton City High School in 2000.
After high school he attended Marine Corps boot camp at MCRD San Diego, California, Marine combat Training at Camp Pendleton, California, and MOS school at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. After completing his training, he was attached to Marine Wing Support Squadron 272 at MCAS New River, Jacksonville, North Carolina. During his service he was deployed to Spain and the Middle East.
He married Tara Martin in 2002 and to that union two children, Hollie and Brice, were born. Above all things he loved his children the most. He strove to be a great dad and they were a source of pride and joy to him.
Adam enjoyed hunting and walking in the woods, was a huge gun enthusiast, loved fast cars, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was also extremely proud to be a Marine.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Virgil and Aladene Lesmeister and Tom and Tamea Slover; one uncle, Danny Joe Lesmeister; and one niece, Gabrielle LeClerq.
He is survived by his children, Hollie and Brice Lesmeister of the home; his girlfriend, Leslie Phillips of Appleton City; his parents Vernon (Rhonda) Lesmeister and Deniene Wingard, both of Appleton City; his siblings: Amy (Zane) Hansen of Dixon, Missouri; Angie Lesmeister of Appleton City; and Jacob (Angelina) Wingard of Appleton City; his step-siblings Jonathan (Jennifer) Hazell of Jacksonville, Florida, Kimberly Hazell of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Karidi Hazell-Lesmeister of Appleton City, Missouri; four nieces, four nephews, one great-niece, two great-nephews, and numerous friends he considered family. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
