Ardith was born June 30, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri, a daughter of Ben Floyd and Violet Irene (Blades) Pagel. Ardith was a life long Kansas City area resident and was a 1968 graduate of Center High School in Kansas City. Ardith was united in marriage to Robert Howe in 1983. Ardith was a dispatcher for CassTel Phone Company in Peculiar for 19 years before her retirement. She was a Lutheran.
Ardith is survived by her husband, Robert Howe, of the home; two sons, Brian Kelly Mercer, Belton, MO, and Ronnie (Debbie) Howe, Belton, MO; one daughter, April (John) Bowers, Stillwell, KS; a brother, Arden (Lynn) Pagel, Pomme De Terre Lake, MO; a sister, Arleen (Danny) True, Kansas City, MO; seven grandchildren and one great grandson.
