Obituary - Norma Frances Edmonds

Private graveside services for Norma Edmonds of Maryville, Missouri will be at Balltown Cemetery in Horton, Missouri under the direction of the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) of Butler, Missouri.

Norma Frances Edmonds, age 96, formerly of Butler, Missouri and Nevada, Missouri died March 26, 2020 at Maryville Living Center, Maryville Missouri. Norma was born January 27, 1924 in Horton, Missouri to John and Edyth Perry Cole. She was married to William Donald Edmonds in 1946 and they later divorced.

After graduating high school in Rich Hill, Missouri she resided in Pittsburg, Kansas performing telephone and clerical work for McFarland Flying Service. From there she went to Kansas City to do similar work for TWA and the Civil Aeronautics Administration. Norma was a caseworker supervisor for the Missouri Division of Family Services in Bates County for 35 years, retiring in 1993. Norma was a member of the Church of Christ in Butler.

Norma is survived by her son, Dan Edmonds and wife Carole of Kansas City, Missouri; four grandsons who were the light of her life also survive, Paul and wife Jennifer, Brian and wife Joya, Jeff, and John and wife Ashley; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Joe Allen Cole and Lawrence D. Cole; and her son Bill.
