The Cass County Health Department has reported two additional positive cases of COVID-19, both of them from Harrisonville. That puts our county total at 27.
Remember, you are your greatest defense against this virus! I know you are familiar with the CDC recommendations regarding personal hygiene and social (physical) distancing, so I won't repeat them here. I will share some advice I came across today related to grocery shopping.
-Stay home if you are sick. Consider home or meal delivery or have someone shop for you.
-Go shopping at a time that is less busy.
-Use sanitizing wipes to clean and disinfect grocery carts and baskets.
-Use a Q-tip to tap the credit/debit machine. Avoid using cash to reduce transmission through money.
-Use curbside pick-up or grocery delivery services.
-Keep social distance while in the store. Six feet or two arms-length from shoppers or store employees.
-Bring a hand sanitizer to use on your hands before and after shopping.
-Use self- checkout lanes when possible to limit contact with store employees.
-Don’t use cloth bags.
-When you return home, wash your hands after handling packages and putting things away.
Stay safe. Stay strong. Stay home.
