Arrest made in Linn County Kansas

On May 14, 2020, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a burglary in progress at the Prescott Food Pantry, the Pantry is in the same building as the City Hall. The City Clerk believed that she knew the burglary and identified the burglar as Kenny Jones of Prescott, Kansas.

Deputies responded to the call. The Linn County Sheriff’s K-9 was deployed, upon arrival. The K-9 obtained a tracking path and began to track the burglar into a nearby field.

After a track across properties the K-9 located the burglar, Kenny Jones lying in tall fescue in a pasture. Jones was taken into custody without incident. Jones is currently held on the charge of Aggravated Burglary at the Linn County Jail with a bond of $10,000.
