A strong wind storm struck the area yesterday packing winds of 80 and 90 mph causing houses and barns to be heavily damaged in some areas along with overturned semi trucks, downed trees and power lines.
Several power outages are reported and many are still without power at this hour.
One person was killed when a tree fell onto a residence in rural Butler west of on F Highway. The person was identified as 71 year old Joan D. Powell of Adrian, Missouri.
