He was born August 28, 1948 to Jack Albert and Opal Roselee Cowley Armentrout in Butler, Missouri.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Onda Armentrout of Amsterdam, Missouri; two sons, Mark Armentrout and wife Carla of Hume, Missouri and Bryan Armentrout and wife Janelle of Butler, Missouri; one daughter, Angela Armentrout of Amsterdam, Missouri; five grandchildren, Erin, Ella, John, Augey and Audrey; and uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two twin infant grandsons, Nathan and Joseph Dean Armentrout.
