We will begin taking donations again next week. I am asking you to leave donations during business hours. If you leave them after hours, they get rained on or stolen! In the past two months, I have caught five donation stealers! 👀 (People have still been leaving donations even when we asked them not to)
Many thanks to the City of Butler police for the extra patrols and quick response to my calls.
We will also be opening the store to shopping next week as well.
Our business hours for donations and shopping starting next week, June 3 will be:
Wed - 10-5
Thurs - 10-5
Fri - 10-5
Sat - 10-5
Please be a donor not a dumper!
A donor is someone that donates clean items in good condition that can be sold to make money for our food pantry.
A dumper is someone that dumps dirty, smelly, stained and/or broken items on us that cannot be sold.
Here is a partial list of items that we cannot accept:
TV's
Computers
Large Exercise Equipment
Large Appliances
Mattress and Box Springs
Sleeper Sofas
Toilets and Cabinets
Car Seats
Car Tires
Soiled/Broken Furniture
Soiled Rugs
VHS Tapes
A few things to keep in mind as well....the following items are also trash not donations.....broken toys, toys with missing parts, board games/puzzles with missing parts, stained clothing, shoes that are already worn out.
Some items that are always in high demand --- clothing, shoes, purses, linens in good condition, adult books published in the last 10 years, DVD's, CD's, home decor from the last 10 years, cookbooks of any age, holiday decor, yarn, wall art, pyrex, corelle, jewelry and candles.
See you on Wednesday, June 3!
