The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2002 Ford F-150 driven by 44 year old Jerry W. Pitts of Adrian, Missouri was traveling west bound on Missouri 52 Highway when he traveled off the roadway in a curve striking a MoDot chevron sign and post. The vehicle crossed K Highway and struck a woven wire fence and a wooden post before coming to rest in a field.
Mr. Pitts sustained moderate injuries in this accident but he refused medical treatment on scene.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene of the crash by Adrian Tow.
