Nevada Police Officers investigated the case in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Social Services - Children’s Division and the Children’s Center of Southwest Missouri - Nevada Office.
On June 25, 2020 Nevada Police took the known male suspect into custody and transported him to the Vernon County Jail for holding. The suspect has been identified as follows:
Joshua Bennett, age 30 of Pacific, MO.
On June 25, 2020 the following charges were filed against Bennett through the Vernon County Associate Court:
Two (2) Counts of Child Molestation 2nd Degree – Child Less Than 12 Years Old – Class B Felony
Bennett is being held in the Vernon County Jail in lieu of a $200,000 cash only bond.
