Obituary - LeRoy Turpen Sr.

LeRoy Turpen Sr. age 75, La Cygne, Kansas passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020. He was born on January 17, 1945 the son of Joe Henry and Dorothy Mae Funk Turpen. He graduated from La Cygne Rural High School in the Class of 1963. LeRoy was united in marriage to Rose Bland on February 2, 1973 in La Cygne, Kansas. He was a member of the Happy Hill Church of God. LeRoy knew and loved the Lord. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and listening to his granddaughter, Emily, sing. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents. LeRoy is survived by his wife Rose, a son, Robert Turpen, Jr., a daughter Christy Black and husband Charles, a brother, Joe Junior Turpen and wife Phyllis, three sisters, Kay DeMott and husband Roger, Linda Brumback and husband Dennis, and Diane VanWinkle and husband Bob, and a granddaughter, Emily Black.

Funeral service 10 am Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.
