Loyd Zehnder was born September 15, 1934 to Roy and Violet (Johnston) Zehnder. He graduated Clinton High School in 1952. Loyd married Patty Louise Schmitt on June 28, 1957. Together they had 4 children, Randy, Terry, Penny and Tammy. Loyd was a part of the Missouri Army National Guard for 15 years and a Union Carpenter from 1968 until 1996. He enjoyed spending his time quail hunting, turkey hunting, and fishing. Loyd was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church, then Stones Chapel Church where he was the caretaker of the cemetery for over 30 years.
Loyd is preceded in death by his parents, 2 son-in-laws, Kenney Jones and Chris Lindsey, and brother Roy Tadlock.
Loyd is survived by is wife Patty, of the home, 2 sons, Randy (Cynthia) Zehnder, Terry (Carol Lynn) Zehnder, 2 daughters, Penny Lindsey, and Tammy (Mark) Grindol, a brother, Robert (Janet) Zehnder, sister, Mary Alice Tadlock, grandchildren, Marie Bedwell, Amanda Stunz, Tracy Nimmo, Katrina Jones, Sarah Lindsey, Thomas Grindol and Zach Zehnder, and great-grandchildren, Benjamin Burgess, Shanara Bedwell, Kendrick Stunz, Charles Stunz and Cassandra Nimmo, and his little buddy "Bodie", his dachshund.
