Rain and thunderstorms return on Tuesday


Tuesday will be busy weather-wise. The remnants of TS Cristobal will move through Tue, bringing moderate to heavy rain to cntrl MO. Widespread rainfall of 2 to 4 inches is likely, but isolated higher amounts are possible. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from midnight tonight through Tuesday evening for central Missouri.

In addition, an incoming system from the west will set the stage for some isolated to scattered strong to severe storms Tues afternoon and evening. Hail and wind will be the primary threats, but a brief spin-up cannot be ruled out. Greatest severe threat will be located across portions of northeast Kansas, southeast Nebraska, and nudging into far northwest Missouri.
