On 06-11-2020 at approximately 2215 hours, Harrisonville Police Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of North Butler Driver regarding a shooting. When officers arrived, they found one subject suffering from a gunshot wound.
The subject was transported to a Kansas City, MO hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Multiple witnesses were identified, and one subject was taken into custody for shooting the individual who was taken to the hospital.
As the investigation continued, it was found the subject with the gunshot injury had fired several shots in the area near the witnesses. At the conclusion of the investigation, Jason R. Vaughn, 51-year-old of Harrisonville has been charged with one count of Assault – 1st degree, one count of Armed Criminal Action and two counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
A bond of $50,000.00 cash only was set by the courts. The other subject taken into custody was released with no charges being filed.
