Forest attended Nevada High School and graduated Class of 1978. He worked for 3M in Nevada until his retirement in 2010. His passions in life included being outdoors, cutting wood, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Paula, survivors include two children; a daughter, Emily Lechman (Chris), Nevada, and a son Evan Cox (Jess), Nevada, MO; nine grandchildren, Brock Lechman, Ava Cox, Eve Cox, Hadlee Lechman, Kelby Cox, Reece Cox, Harlee Wheeler, Paige McIntyre, Baili Edmund; a great-grandson, Jerry Wheeler, Jr.; sisters, Patsy French (Tony), Ft. Scott, KS, Marilyn Fritter (Jack), Richards, MO, Joyce Findley, Ft. Scott, KS; Lielani Bobbett, Nevada, and Karen Tuggle (Tommy), Mound city, KS; a brother, Jerry Cox, Nevada; nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
