Bates County Sheriff's Deputies involved in pursuit with stolen vehicle

On 7/14/2020, while on patrol a Bates County deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle out of Springfield Missouri. When Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle it refused to pull over and a short pursuit ensued. 

The vehicle left Rockville and fled toward W highway. The vehicle failed to negotiate a corner and slid down an embankment. The subject was taken into custody with out incident.

The subject has a non extraditable warrant out of Republic Missouri. The subject was transported to the jail and place on 24 hour hold for possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.

Formal charges are being reviewed by the prosecutor.
