The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2004 Hyundai Elantra driven by 27 year old Trevor S. Miller of Nevada, Missouri ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a embankment.
A passenger in the vehicle 31 year old Ashley N. Gage of Nevada, Missouri sustained serious injuries in this accident and she was transported to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene of the accident by TCB Tow of Nevada, Missouri.
