News update from Old 71 Speedway in Butler

I would like to start by saying A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has came and volunteered their time, equipment, and most of all Manuel labor.

There’s been several show up every day and I personally am grateful. This place has been closed for the better part of 10 years, my wife and I have put our necks on the line with our own money to try and make this a family fun place for all.

Places like this can only stay running with attendance from far and near. We will do our best to keep this dream alive but also need to understand we have to run this as a business and not friends. There’s no big money company backing this. What comes in through the gates and concessions will go back out the same night as we will pay cash.

The cost is cheaper than most places you will go.
$8.00 general admission
$6.00 for seniors and kids under 15
Kids 5 years and under free
Pit pass $30 driver and $25 for pit help.

Please take into thoughts this place could be still setting vacant. This is private property and what work is done is intended to better the place, so some things will stay and some will go.

At this time we feel keeping the trees up will help with any dust that may need controlled, the fence in turns 3-4 have vines growing and it also serves as a dust controller they will stay up at this time. That’s per county, track owner, and myself.

As always god bless and hope you are ready for this adventure as we are.
Sincerely
Jerry Brown
