She was the oldest child born to Jewell Virgil (Jack) and Georgia Ann Walden Moreland on January 4, 1924 in Clinton, Missouri. Freda married W C Moree Jr. on January 10, 1946 in Anthony, Kansas. To this union was born Christopher Dee Moree and Karen Lee Moree Vansant.
She enjoyed sharing stories of her time as an employee of the bomber plant in Kansas City as a Rosie the Riveter.
As a member of Mt. Zion Baptist and Brownington Baptist Churches, she took pride in teaching the young people and was a favorite Sunday School teacher and Vacation Bible School leader.
For many years, Freda was School Secretary for Deepwater High School, Deepwater, Missouri. She is remembered fondly for her kindness and encouragement.
She is preceded in death by her husband W C Moree Jr., parents Jack and Georgie Moreland, brothers Kenneth Eugene (Gene) Moreland and Clinton Earl (Red) Moreland, daughter-in-law Carolyn Louise (Vernon) Moree and great granddaughter Shania Chiles.
Freda is survived by her children Chris and wife Emma Jo (Baker) Moree. and Karen and husband Sam Vansant; grandsons, Christopher Dee Moree, Jr. and wife Christy Michelle Dixon Moree, and Jason Scott Moree; great grandchildren, Courtney Elizabeth Allen Squire and husband Kyle Squire, Noah Preston Moree and Owen Connor Moree; great great-grandson Bentley Chase Squire; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
