Mary was born in Henry County, Missouri, on December 6, 1925, to Andrew Joseph Brownsberger, Jr. and Magdalena (Nold) Brownsberger. She graduated from St. Ludger’s Catholic School in Germantown, Missouri, and St. Francis Academy in Nevada, Missouri, after which she worked as a secretary for Vance J. John and Mary worked together to make a secure and welcoming home on their farm near Montrose, Missouri, and to this union five children were born.
Mary’s priorities were God and family, and faith and prayer were central to Mary’s life. She was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and spent many hours serving the parish community through Altar Society and other ministries. Mary loved the Lord and took pleasure and comfort in attending Mass and receiving the sacraments wherever and whenever possible.
Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed gardening, quilting, playing cards, assembling puzzles, and watching Kansas City Chiefs football. Mary is survived by her children, Ted (Diana) Munsterman, California, Missouri, Mike (Georgia) Munsterman, Holts Summit, Missouri, Dale (Sue) Munsterman, Appleton City, Missouri, Thea (Henry) Wiskur, Leeton, Missouri, and Lisa (JK) Munsterman, Newport Beach, California; and 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
