Thunderstorms possible early in the morning

A stout line of thunderstorms continues to evolve across Nebraska and is expected to continue to move eastward through tonight.

The strongest portion of the line is expected to dive southward across the eastern half of Kansas through 1 to 3 AM. Scattered thunderstorms are expected across portions of far eastern Kansas and western Missouri.

A few of these storms may be strong to severe. Timing-wise, expect storms to enter northeastern Kansas around 1 AM, with scattered storms clipping far western Missouri around 3 to 4 AM, this includes the KC Metro. We'll keep you updated overnight as this system evolves.
