Update: Belton women killed after police pursuit that ends in accident

On 7/7/20 around 12:32pm the Cass County Sheriff's Office along with Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers were involved in a police pursuit that ended with the driver of the vehicle that was fleeing crashing and killing the driver around the area of Route J and 203rd Road in rural Cass County.

A Cass County Deputy attempted to stop the stolen vehicle in the area of East 287th and S. Buford Road near Harrisonville around 12:15pm but the vehicle failed to yield.

The vehicle a stolen 2007 Chrysler Aspen driven by 37 year old Sarah J. Hundley of Belton, Missouri struck a vehicle that was sitting at a intersection, before traveled off the roadway and overturning and ejecting Hundley.

Sarah J. Hundley was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and she was transported to Frontier Forensics.

The four passengers of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital as a precaution.
