The celebration of life for Roni will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 27, 2020 at Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri.Visitation will precede the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p..m.
The family suggests any memorial donations be made to White Oak Cemetery.
Roni Spitler Davis, age 63, the daughter of Jimmy Leroy and Genevieve May (Dimmitt) Spitler was born December 3, 1956 in East Lynne, Missouri. She passed away peacefully at her home on July 22, 2020.
She spent her formative years in the Harrisonville, Missouri area, where she graduated from Harrisonville High School in 1974. Shortly after completing her education, Roni went to work for the railroad. Later she and her husband of 35 years, Larry Davis, traveled and worked construction for many years. They also owned and operated an antique shop as well as a restaurant in Appleton City.
Roni was a lover of conservation and hunting deer. She also enjoyed collecting and working on classic cars, even learning to do all the custom upholstery on her hot-rods. Roni and Larry spent many happy days at car shows and swap meets throughout the years. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The last few years Roni became an avid and talented photographer, volunteering her time for many graduation photo shoots and weddings. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Roni was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Genevieve May (Dimmitt) Spitler; and 2 sisters: Teri and an infant sister.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Davis; 2 siblings, Robin Lee (Gary) and Jimmy Spitler; two daughters: Tammy Smiley and Tracy Huber; 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren; along with many extended family and dear friends.
