From the desk of Bates County Sheriff Chad Anderson

I wanted to say Thank you to all those that voted for me on Tuesday. Even though I had no opposition it’s important to me to recognize that you still took the time to check the box beside my name. I will continue to work hard for the Citizens of Bates County and will continue to lead the men and women of the Sheriff’s Office with integrity and dignity as that is what I believe the Citizens expect.

I also have wanted to share with you why I think Voting for an unopposed candidate is still important. It’s sends a message to the candidate that the community supports how they are doing their job.

A vote for an unopposed incumbent also tells his/her staff that they are appreciated and that the citizens approve of the job they are performing.

A vote for an unopposed incumbent is a positive vote for his/her office. This is extremely important in these trying times especially in law enforcement. I am reminded everyday that the Office of Sheriff can only be Great because the hard work from ALL of its staff.
