Marillyn Nelson Irick, 62 of Butler, Missouri passed away April 14, 2020 at her home in Butler. Graveside memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler. Services under the direction of the Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler (660-679-0009). Messages of condolence may be left for the family and friends at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com Marillyn Kay Nelson Irick was born January 15, 1958 in Butler, Missouri to Carl P. and Iris F. Haller Nelson. She grew up in Butler and graduated from Butler High School in 1976 as Salutatorian of her class. Following high school Marillyn attended Missouri State University and graduated in 1980 with a Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology. She was brilliant in the sciences and loved music, particularly Rock and Roll. After graduation Marillyn stayed in contact with her dear friends that she met during school. She was a wonderful, fun, and supportive friend to many.
On July 1, 1996 Marillyn was united in marriage to Bruce Irick. Together they would enjoy traveling and 20 years of marriage, until his passing in 2016.
Marillyn was preceded in death by her parents and husband Bruce. She is survived by a host of extended family members, classmates, and dear friends.
