Obituary - Myrna Dawn Farnsworth

Myrna Dawn Farnsworth, 82, Nevada, MO passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020, at Barone Alzheimer’s Care Center in Nevada. Myrna, who preferred to be called Dawn, was born June 13, 1938 in Braggadocio, MO to Robert Goodrich and Esther Ellis. Esther later married Francis D. Farnsworth, who raised Dawn.

Dawn attended and graduated from Missouri Southern State College in Joplin. Throughout her life she worked as an LPN and also as a teacher, She retired from the Nevada State Hospital. Dawn enjoyed cooking, gardening, and especially loved to read.

She is survived by three daughters, Sharon E. Clouser, Harrisburg, PA, Amy D. O’Riley, Nevada, and Cara E. O’Riley, Ft. Mill, SC; eight grandchildren, Derek Murphy, Kevin Murphy, Tristan Murphy, Terry Uffelman, Kailey Couch, Ethan Couch, Anna Johnson, and Emma Johnson; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson, two brothers, Gerald Farnsworth, Linn, MO, and Ed Farnsworth, Overland Park, Kansas, three sisters, Jane Augustine, Chamois, MO, Janis Thompson, Coos Bay, OR, and Kathy Mehmert, Chamois, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Terry Joseph Haase.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Father Peter Savidge officiating.
