One arrested after burglary in progress at the Butler Food Pantry

Last night shortly after midnight the Butler Police Department responded to a burglary in progress at the Butler Food Pantry located at 709 W. Ohio Street in Butler.

The owner of the store observed a male subject with a backpack on her cameras make entry into the south doors of the pantry.

When Butler Police arrived to the scene they called in the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Bates County Sheriff’s Deputies to assist in securing the building.

When officers made entry to the building a male subject identified as Cody D. Addleman 27 of Butler, Missouri was take into custody without incident.

Mr. Addleman was booked into the Bates County Jail and is charged with Tampering X3 and Stealing at this time.
