The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2002 Ford Escort driven by 49 year old Scott A. Zachary of Walker, Missouri traveled off the roadway and struck a culvert.
Mr. Zachary sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by air ambulance to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene of the accident by TCB Towing of Nevada.
