The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2008 Boss Motorcycle driven by 48 year old Eric L. Knox of Lincoln, Missouri traveled off the roadway and struck the bridge after a back tire shredded off the bike. Both occupants were ejected from the bike.
Eric L. Knox along with a passenger on his bike 50 year old Joy R. Knox of Lincoln, Missouri both sustained serious injuries in this crash and both were transported by Life Flight to University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri for treatment.
The motorcycle was totaled and towed from the scene of the accident by Tolliver's Tow.
