Don Russell Padley was born December 17, 1943 in Bates County, son of Buford and Hazel (Hall) Padley. He attended rural schools and graduated from Butler High School in 1963.
Don spent many long trips away from Bates County, driving a truck for over 50 years, where he would form many lifelong friendships. When he was able, he was proud to attend the Masonic Lodge in Butler, and was also a member of the Scottish Rite, the Ararat Shrine, and Bates County Republicans.
Those fortunate to know Don will always remember his fondness for Weiner dogs, often taking one with him wherever he would go. Almost always in a jovial and happy mood, Don was a kind person who would do anything for anyone if he was able.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister Rosella, sister Sandra Dykman, and niece Jennifer McGuire; he is survived by his brothers Jack Padley and wife Norma, and Bill Padley and wife Lora, as well as nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
