Gary was born Oct 23, 1949 in Jackson County, Missouri to parents Helen Byler Staab and Rudolph Staab. He had one sibling, Paul Staab, four years younger. Gary and his brother, Paul, shared the love of restoring 1960’s muscle cars. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and brother.

Gary graduated from Raytown South High School in 1968, then attended Central Missouri State University, and graduated from Rockhurst University in 1981. Gary joined the US Air Force in 1970 and served until 1976.
Gary married the love of his life, Theresa Rose, in 1971. They were married nearly 49 years. Gary and Theresa had four children: Erika Perkins (Decker) Lee’s Summit, MO, Jessica Hall (Jeff) Bucyrus, KS, Jeremy Staab (Jill) West Richmond, Washington, Danika Wissman (Mark) Edwardsville, KS. They gave him ten wonderful grandchildren: McKenzie Perkins, Brady Perkins, Cheney Perkins, Adrian Staab, Eban Staab, Caiden Hall, Aliya Hall, Ciah Hall, Phoenix Wissman, and Shelby Wissman.
Gary met his wife, Theresa, while working at the Federal Reserve Bank, then worked for Waddell & Reed. Earl Spangler hired him at Spangler Printers where he grew through the ranks to President/CEO.
Simultaneously, while working in the printing industry, he served as a deacon, then pastor at Kansas City Baptist Temple for a number of years. In 2001, he has called into full time ministry where he served as pastor of Lighthouse Ministry Fellowship and served for 19 years.
Gary won awards in his printing years. He was Printing Executive of the Year Kansas City, President of Printing Industries of America Kansas City, and a Member of National Young Printing Presidents Organization.
Gary served in several ministries concerning children and was a board member of Saving Street Children, a ministry to orphaned children in Peru.
Gary came to know his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 23 years of age. A man named Gary Pool spent years grounding him in God’s Word and he was eternally grateful for that investment. Gary faithfully served the Lord in ministry by sharing the love of Jesus with others.
Gary loved the Lord, his wife, and family, and took great delight in his ten grandchildren. He was a great man of integrity and love.
