Obituary - Jesse Forrest Richardson

Jesse F. Richardson, 79, Cleveland, Missouri passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO. A memorial service will be held 11:00am Saturday, November 14, 2020, with a visitation from 10:00-11:00am at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO.

Jesse was born October 12, 1941 at the family home in West Line, MO and was a 1959 graduate of Cass Midway High School in Cleveland. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Bradley on September 5, 1959, at the home of Rev. Joe Brewster in rural Harrisonville. Jesse was a life long area resident. Jesse was a machinist, and worked for Reynolds Aluminum and later a line supervisor at Ball Corporation in Kansas City before his retirement in 2004. Jesse was well known as a singer and guitarist in many area country western bands.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Clint Douglas Richardson; a grandson, Christopher Richardson; four brothers: Clifford “Gene” Richardson, Stanley “Bud” Richardson, Bob Richardson, and John Richardson; and five sisters: Evelyn Moul, Betty Freeman, Pat Seacrest, Marcella Cross, and Martha Lyon.

Jesse is survived by his wife, JoAnn Richardson, Cleveland; two sons: Brad Richardson, West Line; and Chris (Cathy) Richardson, Harrisonville; two daughters: Cindy Richardson, Freeman, MO; and Susan (Will) Ruble, Cleveland; one brother, Larry (Linda) Richardson, Belton, MO; one sister, Mary Jane (Glendon) Ullery, Lees Summit; twelve grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends.
